Privacy policy sets out how we use and protect any information that you give us when you use this website.

We may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 09/10/2017.

What we collect:

The only information we gather about you personally is what you may enter into our Contact Form. When you are requesting information or to contact us (usually your name, email, message and maybe phone number). See also our Cookie Policy, which covers anonymous information (i.e. no personal details about you) gathered during your visit to our website.

This Contact Form information, while personal and needing to be kept private. Won’t be considered highly sensitive or high risk, such as credit card information or medical records could. Basic security measures are therefore considered adequate to protect this information. Our Contact Form does not ask for any information which would not normally be given by you in a simple email to us. As with most websites, us providing this Contact Form simply takes the place of us just giving you our email address.

What we do with the information we gather:

Our Contact Form has an ‘opt-in’ request. To ask you if it’s OK for us to send you the occasional email. Emails containing information such as a newsletter, special offers or updates which might be of interest to you.

If you tell us it’s OK to email you:

We will keep your email address, your name and maybe your phone number, on an emailing list and/or database. This list/database may be on a computer owned by us and/or on a server operated by an emailing system such as MailChimp or similar. It may also be stored on any back-up device owned by us. Such as a separate storage drive or hard-drive, and/or a cloud-based storage system such as Dropbox or similar. You may request your removal from any such lists or databases at any time. Each marketing email we may send you will contain an ‘unsubscribe’ option for this purpose. We will delete your details from all our records on request. We will never pass your details to any third party unless required by law to do so.

If you say it’s NOT ok to send you marketing emails:

We will not use your details for any other reason than to contact you to answer your enquiry. We will not send you information you have not asked for. We will never pass your details to any third party unless required by law to do so. Your details will not be entered into any other software or database.

How we store the information you give us:

The information you enter will be received by us as an email. We will then store that email as we would any other email in our email client (a program such as Outlook, ‘Mail’ on a Mac, Thunderbird, or similar). That email will be kept in our email program (and any backups made of it) until we delete it. We have no set schedule for deleting old emails, so the email containing your Contact Form details may be kept on our system for some time.

A copy of your Contact Form will also be stored by our website software in its ‘back end’. This is only accessible to a person who has password access to our website. Access is usually restricted to ourselves and our web designer. This copy will be deleted either during routine maintenance of our website or when the website itself is deleted. We take steps to ensure that our website is safe from hacking. Your Contact Form details should remain secure on our website server.

Links to other websites:

Our website may contain links to other websites. If you use these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. We cannot therefore be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide, whilst visiting such sites and such ‘third party’ sites are not governed by this privacy policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy policy statement applicable to the third party website in question.

Data Protection Act 1998:

Under this Act you may request details of personal information which we hold about you. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information we hold on you, please email us. However, as all the information we hold about you was entered by you into our Contact Form. This is very basic, we would suggest that this exercise may not be worthwhile.

If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email us as soon as possible at the above email address.
